I hadn't realised how long it had been since my last post. Things are basically pottering on as usual: work is starting on the CATS panto ("Dick Turpin Rides Again!"), and I am producing the show. I'm also designing the poster, and putting the programme together, so I've got a fair bit of work ahead of me. I've got most of the website updated, and have added info from some really early shows, thanks to someone donating a load of programmes.
Things have been rather busy recently. The main things have been CATS-related: updating the website, and preparing for the AGM.
I posted about this originally over on Facebook, but forgot to mention it here. So first, the backstory: Couple of weeks ago, I got a message via Flickr about some online travel guide thing having shortlisted one of my photos for inclusion in their new London edition.
Tickets for the Fforde Ffiesta 2008 are now on sale. I certainly hope to go, as the last one was really fun. I just need to see who (if anyone) will go with me!
If you want to know more about the Ffiesta, you can visit their website here. For more information about Jasper Fforde and his works, you'll want to visit his own website, which you will find over here.
I'm such a sucker for daft things, especially when they involve LOLcats. I am now a paid up member of Teh Foundlings (member number 206).
Oh dear me. I've really been ignoring this site recently.
Things have been getting really hectic with the panto. We're building the set tomorrow, then various rehearsals, and the first performance is next Thursday. So it's going to get even more hectic before things calm down a bit. On a positive note, every single ticket has been sold (except for a few comps). I'm not sure whether that's ever happened before, especially with nearly a week to go! Sort of makes all the effort with the poster designing, banners, and ticket production worth it :-)
I've found a handy site: Wishlistr.com. It's very simple to use, and let's you create and share a list of things you'd like. Ideal as Christmas is looming! You'll find mine here:
Hmmmm........... been a while since I posted anything here. So, what have I been up to?
I'm producer for the CATS panto (Frankenstein), so have been sorting out various things for that. I've also had a bash at doing the poster - you'll find the draft version of it here.
It's also coming up to Carnival AGM time, so there's been some stuff for that to do.
I keep needing to refer back to the old version of my website, which still lives on elsewhere, so thought I'd post a handy link to it here.
I got a surprise package in the post today. When I opened it, I discovered it contained a signed proof copy of First Among Sequels, a signed postcard of a Juristech narrative proximity device, and a little message saying thanks for my trekking after books. I've put some photos on my Flickr.
