Sadly, I've not had much of a chance to get into games this year. However, way back in February, I was one of the lucky recipients of a mystery parcel which turned out to be part of the trailhead for Find The Lost Ring. You can read my post about it here, and the whole unFiction forum is located here. I had to drop right out in April or so, and haven't managed to catch up at all, but I believe things should be coming to a head pretty soon with the close of the Beijing Olympics. I hope to get right back into some games later in the year, once things have got a little less busy!

And so things move on again. I did get through Choose Your Revolution, which turned out to be a short game to launch a website called Avanoo, which proclaims itself to be "a community of people who are making their own worlds by connecting to the people, experiences, and ideas they care about".
tLemporary seems to have hiccoughed, and nothing has been heard for a while. Meh.
I forget what happened with Love Nevr Dies, but whatever it was it didn't leave a lasting impression on me.
Eldritch Errors got far too confusing for me, though I have been keeping up with posts on UnFiction about it. I think Book 2 is just starting, so I'll carry on perusing that one.
Alice Is Lost! has just announced that it's been permanently cancelled. No idea why, but I haven't been following it anyway. It's a shame that things which are so eagerly anticipated fall flat so quickly.
Apart from that lot, the main game that occupied me for a while was the Amy Greenford/Jasper Ffforde/Great Samuel Pepys Ffiasco one, which you can read up on here. I did get very involved in that one, driving miles to bookshops around the South, but in the end it was worth it - as well as a mad day running round Swindon, I got a signed Jasper Fforde postcard (as did other participants), and a signed proof edition of First Among Sequels (the Jasper Fforde novel the game was launching).
For the most part, I'm just lurking in various games, and occasionally chucking a post or two in when I think I've got an idea. Games where I have been hovering since my last update are: Stop The Reich (sounded interesting, but I rapidly lost interest), Gabriel Lawson/Prophecy Of Stars (apparently the official title is "Invasion". Part one has now ended, part two due sometime!), LonelyBrent17, Moirae (Don't Tell August), The Electric Church (another book launch), 6op 1 libra, Almighty God, Adam Worsley, The Red King Project, and Tom Tooman.
Blimey. Looking back at that list, it's no wonder I get a bit confused sometimes!
The trouble with ARGs and things is that there are always games beginning and games ending. It gets difficult trying to keep up with them all.
The ones I posted about below have either ended or stalled. As a brief round-up, I'm currently playing Choose Your Revolution, and waiting for tLemporary to begin. I'm also lurking Love Nevr Dies and Eldritch Errors.

Alice is Lost! is due to launch in the autumn, and is created by a chap who had ties to Perplex City.
I'm perusing a few other ARGs which are going on, or are just starting: Hacksaw, Briefcase from a dead guy (also known as The Bike Messenger), and Odina Nova (just restarting after a break of several months, it's based around Norse mythology). I haven't got very involved in any of them so far, but I'm certainly following them through the forums (though they all seem to have stalled recently).
Chasing The Wish

This is another ARG, like Perplex City. It ran for several months in mid 2006. I tried to get into it, but it really didn't hook me. It's the sequel to one from 2003, called Chasing The Wish, although you didn't have to have been involved in that to do this one. The start seemed to be a comic, which you could get either as a printed copy or an online version. If you want to find out more, the best place would be the Catching The Wish website. It explains a bit about this game, and the previous one. Forums for the game can be found over at Unfiction.
